Christmas Gifts for Georgia National Guard Families | District Grant for Service Heroes

In the spirit of the holiday season, the North Cobb Rotary Club utilized a $2,000 district grant from D6900 and a $500 contribution from the club’s own community grants to share the joy of the holidays with children of service men and women going into active duty with the Georgia National Guard. Club President Jose Gonzalez with the help of his wife Jordon and kids, shopped for the gifts one early Sunday morning to ensure each kid received a gift of their choice. During the club's annual holiday party on 12/11/25, members wrapped up the individual gifts, one by one, and wrote handwritten holiday cards for each child. On 12/13/25, past president Nancy Prochaska and her husband Kevin, delivered the gifts to the children during the 93rd Finance Company pre-deployment Yellow Ribbon event, culminating in a multi-step process to bring the spirit of the holidays to these children.
