The food will be from Olive Garden and the dessert is Sponsored by Nothing Bundt Cakes. | 4 7:30 North Cobb Rotary Club Representative Devan Seabaugh was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in a special election in July 2021. He represents House District 34, which includes west Cobb County and parts of Marietta and Kennesaw. House Speaker Jon Burns and the House Committee on Assignments appointed Rep. Seabaugh to several key House committees, including Appropriations, Transportation, Industry & Labor, Community & Public Health, Creative Arts & Entertainment and Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications. In addition to his committee assignments, Rep. Seabaugh holds several leadership roles. He serves as Vice Chairman of the House Industry & Labor Committee, Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Vice Chairman of the Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee. He is also a Deputy Whip for the Republican Majority House Caucus and is a former Vice Chairman of the Cobb County Legislative Delegation. Outside of his legislative responsibilities, Rep. Seabaugh is the Vice President of Administration at Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service, a private company providing 9-1-1 emergency and critical care ambulance services to counties and hospitals throughout greater metro-Atlanta. He has played a pivotal role in the company's growth, helping it expand from a start-up with 10 employees and 2 ambulances to one of the Southeast's most respected ambulance providers, now employing over 1,200 people and operating more than 150 ambulances. Born in Syracuse, New York, Rep. Seabaugh moved to Marietta, Georgia, at the age of one. He is the son of a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and retired Lockheed Martin engineer. His mother worked part time and was a full-time mother raising three children. Rep. Seabaugh graduated from Marietta City public schools and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of West Georgia. He completed his EMT/paramedic training at West Georgia Technical College in Carrollton, GA. His 40-year career in healthcare began as a paramedic including time on the streets of Atlanta with Grady EMS before returning to Cobb County to help start-up Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service. A dedicated community leader, Rep. Seabaugh actively serves on the boards of Wellstar Kennestone Regional Hospital, the North Georgia State Fair Association, the Earl Smith Strand Theatre, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the Cobb Travel and Tourism Sports Alliance. His past community leadership includes impactful roles with organizations such as MUST Ministries, the Boys & Girls Club, the Boy Scouts of America, United Way, YMCA, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Cobb Safety Village and Safe Kids Georgia. He is known for his ability to bring people together and find creative solutions to complex community problems. For his efforts, he has been widely recognized, earning honors such as Marietta Citizen of the Year from the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the Mack Henderson Public Service Award, and the Chamber Chairman’s Awards from both the Cobb and Paulding Chambers of Commerce. Rep. Seabaugh is also an active member of his local Rotary and Kiwanis clubs. His contributions have been recognized with distinctions such as the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow designation and Kiwanis International’s George Hixson Fellow Award, Patriot Award, Henry Heinz Award, and Community Service Award. Additionally, his patriotism and support for the U.S. military have been recognized by the Sons of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Vietnam Veterans Alliance. Rep. Seabaugh and his wife, Beth, have been married for over 33 years and reside in west Cobb County. Together, they have five adult children and four grandchildren. They are active members of First United Methodist Church in Marietta. In his free time, Rep. Meagan is CFRE certified and received her Master of Arts degree in English from The University of South Alabama. Prior to joining Tommy Nobis Center, she served for over a decade in education and nonprofit community outreach with populations in Georgia, Alabama, Honduras, and South Korea. Meagan is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Cobb Executive Women, and Kennesaw Business Association.
