Michael Parks - District Chairman for the Rotary Youth Exchange
After a 30-year career in the travel industry, Mike is now retired and dedicates his time to family, Rotary Youth Exchange, and not-for-profit activities. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody for more than ten years and has served on the board of the club for five of those years. He has served as District 6900 Chairman of Rotary Youth Exchange since the program’s inception here, and he also serves on the board of Rotary Zone 34’s scholarship support organization, Rotary Youth Exchange Southeast. Additionally, Mike volunteers for the Human Rights Campaign and does occasional consulting work for airlines around the world. Mike, his partner Claudio, and their 2-year-old daughter Zoe live in Sandy Springs.
2022-2023: Help us IMAGINE our Future.
Last week, President Jennifer shared her exciting vision for the year ahead and asked us to not only IMAGINE with her, but to be a major part of the plan. She concluded her vision by asking us four important questions:
- Are you willing/able to lead a committee, now or within the next year?
- What NEW Project do you IMAGINE?
- Who is our UNSUNG Hero and why?
- Who would be a great member and who would benefit by joining the club?
With our motto, SERVICE ABOVE SELF, in-mind, if you haven't already done so, we ask you to take a minute and IMAGINE with us and share your answers via email to President Jennifer at jbowler325@gmail.com.
Fellowship Opportunity
RCD Night at Gwinnett Stripers
Our club will enjoy a night at the Gwinnett Stripers game in Lawrenceville on Saturday, July 16 - game time is 6:05 pm. Cost is $15 per ticket; children 12 and under will be admitted free as guests of the Club. The Stripers are playing the Durham Bulls that evening. Food will be available for purchase at the concession stands throughout the game.
