Congratulations to PDG Robert Hall, who is the new Zone 33 and 34 Director for the two-year term from 2014-2016. He will represent all Rotarians from as far north as Delaware and south through the Caribbean islands.
Every two years we elect a new Director Elect rotating between Zone 33 and Zone 34. RID Robert and District 6900 are in Zone 34, which includes all of Georgia, Florida and the Caribbean. Robert is the second District 6900 Rotarian to ever serve as Director on the Rotary Board. PDG Pratt Secrest of the Thomasville Rotary Club served in the early 1980s. Robert was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Georgia Tech and received his MBA from Tulane University. Robert is the principal of HRH Consulting, Inc. and is retired from the IBM Corporation. His 30 year career included sales, marketing, organizational planning and development and general management positions. In 1999 he began consulting in the recruiting field and has gone on to recruit in many industries. He now specializes in recruiting not for profit executives and development professionals.
Robert and Charlene have three children and seven grandchildren at last count. He has over 35 years of service in Rotary International. He joined Rotary in Brunswick, GA and has been a member of the Rotary Clubs of Milwaukee, WI and Baton Rouge, LA. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, where he served as president, and is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. Robert and his wife Charlene are Paul Harris Fellows and Major Donors. Robert is a member of the Rotary Foundation Bequest Society and a GRSP Will Watt Fellow.
Robert served as District Governor in 2001-2002 and as Chairman of the Long Range Planning, Finance and Nominating Committees. He has served as the District Rotary Foundation and Major Donor Chair, as representative to the RI Council on Legislation, and as a member of the 2004 RI Worldwide Literacy Conference Committee. In 2006, Robert and Charlene led a district Rotary group to India to participate in a National Immunization Day. Robert was the Zone 34 End Polio Now Coordinator, served on the 2013 RI Convention Promotion Committee for Lisbon, and is the Host Committee Chair for the 2017 RI Convention in Atlanta.
